And what they fled is also partly the result of the rest of the worlds interference as well... At some point we need to take responsibility for that.

Turkey and Egypt has taken in a ton of Refugees.. But the Persian Gulf states could do more.
Asian countries like Indonesia have taken a ton of Refugees as well.
Lots of smaller African/Asian countries tend to have limited options as they don't have the resources to accept anyone, I think that is where other countries need to work with them.

Just because you are religious, doesn't mean you can't be racist.
But I do agree it was a pretty poor over-generalization.
