Some of the responses in this thread are pretty dumb but they come from the usual suspects so I hope you don't take them too seriously. A post like coktoe's above is full of humor (and manly love).
I understand your frustration regarding the amount of missed opportunities on PlayStation (and with Sony in general). We've talked about it before. Sony could indeed tap into a big pool of potential by offering a streamlined and consistent user experience across all of their devices. I don't think a game console will ever outperform a PC when it comes to things such as downloading zips and rars as you mention but I understand your frustration.
Personally, I'm enjoying a PC, PS4, and 3DS (that will be Switched in 2019 with Pokémon) combo. But if you don't have a capable PC, I totally see why you want to play multiplat games on XBO X as it's the strongest console. Additionally, its backwards compatibility and Game Pass are two great features.
The reason why I buy PlayStation (and Nintendo) consoles is because of the games. I have too much fun with their exclusives to not buy their hardware. From what I understand, you'll also continue playing exclusives on PlayStation and then multiplats on Xbox going forward. That's totally understandable. Actually, I don't know why anyone would choose to play multiplat games on PS4 if they owned an XBO X.
We're all just looking for ways to enjoy our favorite entertainment medium and I hope you enjoy yours too.
