I think McCain really needs to at least try to find out if the people support him before using the songs. It's not technically illegal though because legally, 30 seconds can be sampled of a song without any repricussions.

I think it was tactless to say "I support barack obama." I think simply stating "I do not support McCain" would have been just as effective and relevant. For me, it's all in the wording. Which by the way seemed like he was fishing for sympathy. "Oh I was in this war. I did this. I did that. " and it got on my nerves.

 

 Why does it matter if the guy supports him or not?

If the song has the same message that hes trying to get out and is popular why wouldnt he use it?
