No, I dont mentione $250 all the time, I mention $200, also that $250 price is without charger, dock and cables (so you need to pay at least $50 extra just for buying seperate charger), so you would need to be crazy to buy that for $250 instead hole package for just $50 more. I didnt said that $300 is standard home console price point but $300 is price point of home consoles not handhelds, Switch is not cheaper than Nintendo home consoles (there is no point comparing it with Sony consoles because Sony consoles were always more expansive than Nintendo consoles in any case), so last 3 Nintendo home console, GC had price point of $200, Wii $250, Wii U (model whithout bundled game) $300. Again like I wrote, 3DS had price point of $250 and didnt sell and thats why need to have huge price drop to $170-180 only 6 months after launch in order to start selling. So again clear fact, Switch has price point Nintendo home console not handheld, also again, $300 for handheld is still far away from mass market price point for handheld devaice (again its good price for hybrid but not for handheld).

Also one of main reasons why Nintendo actually pushing Switch like home console on first place is price point of Switch and Switch games, and fact is that Switch has price point for hardware and software of home consoles not handhelds so Nintendo pushing Switch like home console on first place.

Pushing it as a home console? It's biggest selling point is it's portability. The reason Nintendo handheld have been so cheap is because Nintendo decided to make relatively weak hardware. Switch actually has impressive graphics for a portable device for once from Nintendo so as a result the price had to be a little highe. And considering kids and adults get such expensive mobile phones these days asking 300 for the switch is no big deal.

You dont get it, hybrid concept is biggest selling point of Switch (in this case handheld side), but fact is that Nintendo refers to Switch like console not like handheld, while they refer to 3DS like handheld.

3DS has very week hardware and yet had $250 launch price point. Also if Switch is only handheld instead of hybrid (so without Dock, attachable Joy Cons, parts...), it would have much lower price point than that actually has. Comparing price points of Android/iOS platform devaices with dedicated console platforms is pointles, mobile phones can do huge a variety of things while with Switch you cant do much except playing games (currently you cant play even YouTube or browse internet).
