I wish Konami would indeed make a remake of MGS1, I would definitely buy it.
However, I think this would not be an easy remake to do, the original gameplay is outdated (and it probably wouldn’t be accepted by today standards), and the implementation of MGSV gameplay would require a lot of tweaking in order to meet the original MGS1 concepts.
Twin Snakes is a great game/remake, but the implementation of MGS2 gameplay didn't really fit into MGS1. (MGS1 was not designed for MGS2 controls)
