Kapernick's kneeling during the anthem was a fine protest against Trump and against racism. Kapernick is a freedom fighter and a modern day activist against racism.

How?

To give ones life for a cause many would consider 'sacrificing everything'. Of course, just because you don't give up your life doesn't mean you're trash, it just means you were only willing to go so far.

Or... You were willing to put your life down, but didn't have to.
Just because an individual has passed, doesn't mean their heroism was any lesser/greater than someone who has survived.

I was referring more to someone willingly giving their life for a cause. This is different than risking ones life.

Good on him for voicing his stance. More people should do it.

What is his stance? I don't even know. I do know he's a face on a Nike ad about 'sacrificing everything'.
