Those other things are well established facts too (even medication) and one hour of anything can be difficult when severely depressed. If it was that simple then nobody would be depressed. And for example many people with anorexia are depressed despite of vigorous exercise.

I am not against that, but there is no single universal cure that helps to recover from depression. Some people might get well with only that, but certainly not everyone. And getting up and doing it everyday can be difficult even if its only one hour. Something as basic as getting out of the bed can be difficult when really depressed, so its not that simple.
