Maybe this is why the September GwG is such dog shit?

First off you have the Master Chief Collection, which has been updated to include Scorpio support. I downloaded it a week or so ago and have started an all legendary run through the first game. It's as good as I remember, such a game changer for the genre on console. I haven't played Halo SP much after Halo 2, so I am excited for 3 and 4. And the Halo remake looks gorgeous, I expect the same for Halo 2 Anniversary. 85 meta score, I think it would review a hell of a lot higher if it were reviewed in its current form, but it deserves that score for launching in the state it did.

Secondly you have Quantum Break, the best SP game so far this gen imho. As a sci-fi fan I was immediately drawn to the story. Time travel is fascinating, it's handled extremely well in the game. Great story, amazing depth to the backstory and side stories you can find in the game if you're so inclined. Most importantly the gameplay is great, good fun, challenging, and the graphics make the powers look even better. I also enjoyed the live action stuff, very Fringe like imho, but I can see why some would be put off. 77 meta score, at least 10 too low imho. I'd have given it high 80's with a lack of replay value being my only complaint. After you play through to see the different story branches, not much reason to come back.

Thirdly you have OnRush, the latest racing game from the guys behind Playstation racers Motorstorm and #Driveclub. To be honest I didn't have much interest in the game and the short time I spent on it when it was free to play for XBLG members recently didn't change my mind much, but I'll give it a whirl and see if there's some depth. 78 meta score, which actually (sadly) makes it one of the best arcade racers this gen, lol.

Those are the big three, and they are pretty big. But the smaller releases look to be pretty special too. Snake Pass has a 74 meta and looks like a good solid platformer. I'll download onto the Xbox my kids use and they can romp through it. There's Giana Sisters, which I've only ever seen on WiiU, meta score of 80. I think this was a GwG game previously though? Schmup fans have Sky Force Reloaded, 74 meta. Doubt I'll even waste the bandwidth downloading that, not a fan of the genre.

There's also InnerSpace, which makes me glad I didn't waste money on No Man's Sky. I'm looking forward to trying Aven Colony, 77 meta, basically SimCity on an alien planet. Lastly there's Shadow Warrior, which I already own, but strongly strongly recommend for anyone who is a fan of action games. 74 meta. Beat it, and then find the sequel on sale somewhere.

Of course, after this you have Horizon 4 in October. GamePass killing it. We should get some Chartz Halo games going.
