Well, as you all know, yesterday the site was down and I could make the news. In an ordinary week, that wouldn't be much of a problem, but we're in the middle of Gamescon, and that means that there are more news than usual. Because of that, today I won't post PCGamer articles (at least not in the "Gaming news" section).
Without further ado, here are the news:

SALES & "SALES"/DEALS

Get Dead by Daylight and BioShock Remastered in the Humble Spooky Horror Bundle
https://www.pcgamer.com/get-dead-by-daylight-and-bioshock-remastered-in-the-humble-spooky-horror-bundle/
Halloween is almost here, right? No? Well, whatever. The Humble Bundlers may have jumped the gun a bit with the Humble Spooky Horror Bundle 2018, but it's still a very solid collection of horror games, especially if you (for some reason) still haven't played BioShock.

>>And on the Humble Store, there are another two more deals:

At GOG, the daily deal is The Mummy Demastered, 25% off: https://www.gog.com/game/the_mummy_demastered

At Steam, we have several deals to talk about

And at Fanatical, there are also several offers to mention:

Also, if you sync your Steam Wishlist with Fanatical's Assistant, you'll get a chance to win $100 on the Fanatical Store. Read more here: https://www.fanatical.com/en/blog/chance-to-win-100-to-spend-on-steam-pc-games-with-fanatical-assistant

SOFTWARE

Resident Evil 2 Remake will support NVIDIA’s RTX technology
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/resident-evil-2-remake-will-support-nvidia-rtx-technology/
Although NVIDIA has not announced whether Resident Evil 2 Remake will be taking advantage of its RTX technogloy, Digital Foundry’s John Linneman revealed that it will actually be using it and that a PC version with RTX was available at Gamescom 2018.
Unfortunately, we don’t know whether Capcom and NVIDIA will be using real-time ray tracing or deep learning super sampling. Fingers crossed that it will be the former as a horror game with real-time ray tracing effects (like global illumination and ambient occlusion) could potentially look great.

MODS/EMULATORS

Monster Hunter: World mod lets you transmog your armor's appearance
https://www.pcgamer.com/monster-hunter-world-mod-lets-you-transmog-your-armors-appearance/
Monster Hunter: World has done the series justice on PC, but it is missing some popular features, chief among them the ability to transmog armor: changing its appearance to another armor set, while keeping its stats. Alas, transmog was added in Monster Hunter XX, which hasn't been announced for PC and probably never will be. Luckily, the PC does have modders—more specifically, modders like FineNerds, who's gone and created an armor transmog mod for World.
As FineNerds explains on Nexus Mods, all you have to do is download the mod, open Monster Hunter: World, open the mod, and "enter the armor you want to switch to." I was skeptical, so I decided to try the mod for myself. And while it's not quite that simple, it does work and it is very easy to use.
