Which means you can get an upscaling DVD player for like... 40 bucks. Well worth it if you have no plans to move on to Blu-ray. (like a lot of people seem to.)

 

It only upscales if you have a 360 with an HDMI port.

 

Which I do, but is an earlier HDTV with only component.  I'm not that hung up on it though.  I'm fine with watchin unupscaled DVDs (I knew this going in, but only one new player can upscale through component but it is more expensive).  I just wanted a replacement for my other DVD player and didn't want to use my main 360 drive.  Eventually I'll get a DLP with component.

I give that post a 9.7.
