Burden of Command looks like a strategy wargame: Maybe Panzer General, maybe Hearts of Iron 3, or maybe something in between. Developer Green Tree Games insists that it is not, however. They describe it as "Band of Brothers meets XCOM," a blend of RPG and tactics that's "infused with battlefield psychology, where every decision counts."

The digital port of space 4X Exodus: Proxima Centauri releases today on Steam. Developer Offworld Games created this port of the board game, which came out back in 2012. In Exodus: Proxima Centauri players are leaders of a faction of remnant humans brought to a distant star system by powerful aliens after a devastating nuclear war drove them from Earth. With the Centaurians withdrawing, humans are now left to struggle for control of the Proxima Centauri star system. It’s a game that embraces the multi-role workings of the 4X genre, pushing players up against political and economic struggles, but it also has some standout highlights like technology customization and vicious interplanetary weapons of mass destruction.

And now it's a little bigger and a little better thanks to the release of the first free mission pack on Steam.

https://www.pcgamer.com/turn-based-tactics-rpg-fell-seal-arbiters-mark-is-out-now/
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, a turn-based RPG being developed by 6 Eyes, is in Early Access now. After its successful Kickstarter, our writer Lauren Morton checked out how it was coming along back in March. She said, "Fell Seal's current demo includes 11 story missions and the option to replay most of the maps as random encounters. In true JRPG style, it also features fantasy monsters, bumbling henchmen, and a haughty antagonist with a terrible haircut. The protagonists, by way of contrast, stray a good deal from the plucky heroes of the coming-of-age tale I expected to find."

Oh, a Rock Studios! are an indie developer responsible for several games you probably haven't heard of, like Cat President and The Awkward Steve Duology. Their current project is The Pizza Delivery Boy Who Saved the World, a live-action visual novel about, well, the title probably sums it up. You play Doug, who takes a break from pizza delivery when someone claiming to be a future version of himself enlists him to help prevent the internet from being destroyed. There's also weird customers to deal with, awkward flirting, and what looks like a pizza-slicing minigame. It's got everything.

https://www.pcgamer.com/preys-director-says-the-final-act-was-too-intense/
Raphael Colantonio, director and co-writer of Arkane's 2017 game Prey, has been interviewed by Kotaku about his game's famously divisive final act. As well as the ending itself, the build-up to it has come under criticism for being drawn-out, and introducing too many security bots. Colantonio told Kotaku that, "In this case, yeah there was definitely too much at the end, it was too intense, not only the security bots but there was some other stuff. In general, I think it was too intense, we were trying to ask the players to backtrack, and do some stuff. It was just too much. We should have cut it short."
