I'm just suspicious to the idea of the Poke company being able to get away with versions the same way that have in the past: The games being more expensive will be a factor for them to consider (I am fairly certain Pokemon Co understands the concept of economic curve, of how you can sell less things at 60 dollars than 40 and eventually the gains from less for more cancel out), but perhaps more importantly is the simple fact that the games will cost more to develop and take more time to make.

DLC could easily become something they try as a momentum keeping measure if they find they can't do year to year releases.

Pokemon Company: Okay, it will take us longer than expected to make these DP remakes. Have the younger teams do that 'DLC' thing to try and keep interest while we figure out how to properly render Cyrus in HD.

Younger team: Can we take feedback from fans as ideas for what to do?

Pokemon Company: Sure, why not.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
