https://www.pcgamer.com/fans-dig-up-the-likely-name-of-rainbow-six-sieges-new-blow-torch-operator/
Following the official reveal of Rainbow Six Siege’s newest defender, Clash, fans have already been digging for even more info. And thanks to their tenaciousness, we now know the likely name of our new blow-torched attacker: Maverick.
Update: Maverick has been officially revealed, and the leaks and rumors have been confirmed. As you can see in the teaser above, he indeed uses a blow torch, though rather than breaching the wall in this case, he creates a horizontal slit which he can shoot through. His bio indicates that while creating "murder holes" is one of his talents, his blow torch has other uses, too. Maverick’s full reveal will take place during the Six Major in Paris, which begins tomorrow and runs through the 19th.

Polygod is a randomly-generated roguelike FPS about a Faceless One, a legendary assassin with one arm who must prove himself to the seven deities by fighting through their arenas and defeating their Holy Champions in order to ascend to godhood. It features a colorful, minimalist visual style and a "brutal difficulty curve," and after nearly two years on Steam Early Access it will go into full release tomorrow.

'Garbage town builder' Flotsam mixes survival and city building in new trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/garbage-town-builder-flotsam-mixes-survival-and-city-building-in-new-trailer/
Last year we caught a GIF-y glimpse of Flotsam, a city builder set in an oceanic world, back when it was so early in development that Pajama Llama Games didn't even have a release date in mind. It's since evolved into an interesting little game published by Kongregate and due to arrive on Steam in 2019, as evidenced by its new trailer.

https://www.pcgamer.com/evolution-the-video-game-delayed-into-2019/
North Star Games’ Evolution: The Video Game has updated its release date to Early 2019. The game is a port of the company’s board game in which players create, feed, improve, and pit species against each other to be the players who had the most successful creatures. I got some hands on time a few months ago and it looked quite good already.

Mad Machines looks like Rocket League with massive armored robots instead of cars
https://www.pcgamer.com/mad-machines-looks-like-rocket-league-with-massive-armored-robots-instead-of-cars/
The competitive multiplayer game Mad Machines sounds a lot like hockey—if hockey was played by "panzer-plated robot gladiators" using a giant, magnetic ball made of spikes instead of a slab of frozen rubber. Developed by Danish studio Hero Blocks, it features 3v3 action with a heavy emphasis on teamwork, and no small amount of bloodlust. (Yup, that's hockey.)

Boyfriend Dungeon's cast of lovable weapons adds a cat that turns into brass knuckles

Kitfox Games announced Boyfriend Dungeon last year with a vague teaser but a promising idea: a dungeon-crawling dating sim where you romance your weapons to make them, and yourself, stronger. It's a modern RPG where you fight for glory in the "dunj" and fight for love at dating hotspots like museums and cafes. It recently launched on Kickstarter with a new trailer, and its crowdfunding campaign is not only chock-full of much-needed details, it's also already raised nearly double its $50,000 goal with 29 days to go.

A U.S. court has awarded Take-Two Interactive a preliminary injunction to block software that helps players cheat at Grand Theft Auto Online, Reuters reports.
On Thursday, U.S District Judge Luis Stratton awarded the injunction against Georgia resident David Zipperer, who Take-Two had accused of selling two programs without the company’s permission, which provided players who used them an unfair advantage in GTA Online.

Microsoft says Halo: Infinite “is Halo 6”
https://www.pcgamer.com/microsoft-says-halo-infinite-is-halo-6/
Microsoft has stated that Halo fans should think of Halo: Infinite as Halo 6, despite the game not actually being called Halo 6.
Speaking during a recent Mixer broadcast, 343 Studios Jeff Easterling said “You should just consider it Halo 6. Don’t think of it as a weird prequel kind of thing. It’s the next story. It’s the next chapter in what’s going on.”
