I notice in the USA the same thing I notice in the Italian left wing, most of them can't really deal with the reality that most people really dislike some politicians that left wing voters totally love. In this the right wing manages to better grasp reality, they know some right wing politicians are hated by many, sometimes even the majority, maybe they can't understand why, but they don't deny it.
