Eh, there is actually very little blur used in either of those images (some DoF, but very little surface blur at all). Plus, it is a rainy scene (which would naturally reduce visibility in the real world - something that is lost in current gen games). And Crysis 3 was easily beaten by this gen's best looking games.

 

Hmm, the first picture just looks very unappealing. I think it's the Blur and light effects that causes this. The second and third picture is just a mess, again I think it's the blur, light effects and the rain that causes it. The rain on those picture just don't look good at all, in irl you can actually see through the rain, in those pictures the rain looks close to a blue paint.

I don't know any game that beats Crysis 3, I know you where impressed by Star Wars: Battlefront 2. This dude at gamespot made a detail analys how Crysis 3 beats Battlefront 2.

Crysis 3 wins everything except light effects. But I think people should play through the game before making a judgement. You should play Crysis 3 and Battlefront 2 campaigns, then judge. Crysis 3 will win easily :)
