I beat BOTW and played about 4-5 hours of MHW. So yeah.

Then you're lying or trolling, because the only similarities between these games are that they are third person fantasy games. They aren't even the same levels of fantasy (Low Fantasy in MHW vs High Fantasy in BotW).

OK, Have you even played them?

1. Both 3rd Person

2. Both Fantasy

3. Both have hunting mechanics

4. Both have large creatures (Hilnox/stone and monsters)

5. Both have armors/weapons that can be changed

6. Both overworld

7. Both have a natural outdoor landscape

.... I could go on and on and on, but it should be pretty obvious that MHW is a Zelda clone. And that doesnt mean it's bad. Okami is considered a zelda "clone" and it's still a great game. IMO MHW is a bit more blatant of a clone, but still good.
