Hope it isn't true. I quite like Obsidian, and I actually want to buy their games in the future, ones that aren't locked to a console store, let alone the crappy Windows 10 store.

Leave them be.

Obsidian have been mainly popular on pc. Are they likely to lose a lot of fans if they go exclusive to the Microsoft store?

Going by the lack of Win store taking off in some colossal way, I'd say so. Whatever spin Win 10 users on here have to give, it won't stop the fact that Steam is where games on PC are most popular, with GoG going in second and Battle.net third. By locking off their entire studio to just one store, an unpopular one at that, you're basically losing out on everyone else who uses the various clients and storefronts out there.

If Win 10 store was truly "great" and popular, we'd be hearing stories of it's success and how well it's doing and how amazing of a storefront it is, but since it's inception, we haven't, and even PCGamer's journo's dislike the store (as mentioned in one of their recent articles about Steam).
