Square Enix introduced The Quiet Man with what may have been (and, in hindsight, I'm quite confident was) the worst trailer of E3: A man enters an alley, kicks some ass, and leaves a bag on a guy's face. Why? We did not know. But now, thanks to a live reveal event that took place yesterday, we have a slightly better idea of what's going on.

Free-to-play hack-and-slasher Let It Die, originally a PS4 exclusive, will come to PC this autumn/fall, developer Grasshopper Manufacture has announced.
You're tasked with climbing a tower packed with monsters and traps, starting off with no armour or weapons and gradually building a powerful character. The focus is melee combat, but you'll also grab flamethrowers, crossbows and other projectile weapons.

 

Battlerite Royale is now a standalone game, launches in Early Access next month

Battlerite's upcoming battle royale mode has become a standalone game, and it will enter Early Access next month, Stunlock Studios has announced.
Battlerite Royale, which was initially due to launch this summer, has broken off from the MOBA partly because of the "huge reaction" fans had to its announcement, and partly because it was being constrained by some of the systems in the main game, the developer said.

Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom's free Adventure Pack, which expands a dungeon and adds a new quest line, is out now.
The free DLC adds extra floors to the Faraway Forest dungeon and adds a "brand new story" in which Evan must defeat the Demon of Anguish. The quest line introduces two new bosses to fight—Blackhart and Zeta—and spans the whole game world.

 

2D sci-fi RPG CrossCode gets September 20 release date

CrossCode, the 2D sci-fi RPG that's proving a big hit in Early Access, will launch in full on September 20, developer Radical Fish Games has announced.
Expect fast combat, physics-based puzzles and old-school, SNES-style graphics, along with a story that will take more than 20 hours to complete.

Ubisoft is offering another free weekend for its wildly successful tactical FPS Rainbow Six Siege.
In a slightly unusual interpretation of the word “weekend”, Siege will be freely available to play from Thursday 16th of August, continuing through until Monday 20th. According to Ubisoft, this will offer full access to all maps, modes and operators.

A major leak for Forza Horizon 4 has revealed the racer will likely feature a level inspired by Halo: Combat Evolved's Silent Cartographer Mission.
The leak, which came in the form of a huge image-dump on Imgur (via Eurogamer), included an image of Halo’s iconic Warthog all-terrain vehicle sliding around a beach, while a segment of Halo’s vast ringworld arcs into the sky in the background.

Bethesda has reportedly blocked the sale of a second-hand, still-sealed copy of The Evil Within 2 on the Amazon Marketplace, in a move that could have wide-ranging implications for the sale of used Bethesda games.
The seller, Ryan Hupp, received a letter from Bethesda's legal firm, Vorys, warning that he must remove the listing or face legal action. In the letter, which Hupp forwarded to Polygon, Vorys said the sale was "unlawful" because it was not by an "authorized reseller". Hupp's use of the word "new" in the listing also constituted "false advertising", Vorys claimed.
