Expect that ignores logic?
If the Switch spends more time vs the PS4/XB1,...... why does it belong to the same generation as the PS5/Xb2?

Wouldnt it make most sense to group things that belong together, by who the compete against and for how long of their life cycle?
if you do that, the switch belongs to the 8th generation of consoles.

The Switch may belong to the 8th generation consoles, it depends when the PS5/XB2 launch and when the Switch successor launches.

Switch (A) is a 9th generation console.

Switch (B) is an 8th generation console.

I think Technology inside has to be put into consideration too.
By the time PS5 + XB2 launch, the Switch wont be able to play ANY of those multiplats developed for the PS5+XB2.

It belongs to the 8th gen, by the hardware & who it most likely will sell for the longest against.
