Bethesda already said that they are less likely to ever let another developer aside from themselves make another Fallout game again though, so the chances of Obsidian being able to make Fallout New Vegas 2 already seems pretty low, even if they didn't get acquired.

Well that sucks. Though at least Todd said it wasn't completely impossible for that to happen again. It could be just PR speak along with his compliment to New Vegas but I'd like to believe that he and Bethesda know how much of a cult hit New Vegas was. Hell, I'd be happy if at the very least Bethesda makes New Vegas 2 with Obsidian just providing assistance.
