I could see BotW’s placement and assumed either that, or a placement in the so-called Downfall timeline either at the end or retconning the original NES game. The placement they have would need still some further explanation on things, but is the only place BotW could go though.
The swapping of Link’s Awakening and the Oracle games makes no sense though. The linked Oracle games end with Link sailing away on a boat that looks exactly like the one that shipwrecks at the start of LA, obviously directly connecting both games. LA should be after OoX, there is no other way.
