Yeah, the starting positions are questionable. I just got done a map where I faced 2 of the antagonists and a rando. My whole team was scattered at 3 points of the map. 1/3 of my team was useless because all 3 of the guys made a beeline for Alm and the rest of my team was too far away to do anything. So the starting positions get worse from there too?!
Yeah, i'm feeling this now. I've gained so little experience during battles that I thought I was over leveled or something, Not to mention even when I do level up, the stat boosts are abysmal. The story and presentation is good, but everything concerning gameplay is pretty bad tbh. I'll take my waifu's, good gameplay and incredibly mediocre story over this Fire Emblem anyday. Ah well i'll just power through it. |
-Gold Knights are meh, basically just inferior Falcon Knights, and Barons are obsoleted by Steel Shield. Don't recommended using them more than you have to.
-Didn't get any on my playthrough but I hear Dread Fighters are OP. Saints, Bow Knights, and Sages w/ Mage Rings I know are uber good.
-Make sure all units you want to use have 37 or more HP by the endgame. Mistake I learned the hard way, but didn't matter cause lol turnwheel.
-Killer Bow is laughably broken, and Iron Lance is actually the best lance except Clair w/ Gradivus.
-When you get to that point, make Alm the leader, you know he's naturally less likely to die. :L

Nah, that's just the RNG fucking you up xD Also, if you never took the time to check it up. The map design is kind of a copy-paste from the original Gaiden so it comes with it's cons. But otherwise this game is superior in every other way and since it was my first FE back then before playing FE7. The gameplay while sometimes hectic or not rewarding enough was still far more enjoyable than what've I tried from FE Awakening ... but that's just an opinion. |
