We have new info about Nvidia's upcoming cards, ans some of it is confusing:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 PCB has been leaked
https://videocardz.com/76953/nvidia-geforce-gtx-2080-1180-pcb-has-been-leaked
The PCB of an upcoming NVIDIA card has been leaked by Baidu user. The photos present a new card that will sport either 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory. The card has 10-phase VRM powered through 6+8pin power connectors (the 6-pin might be optional). For comparison, the GTX 1080 has only one 8-pin connector.
This is not a custom board, as the board model and NVIDIA logo suggest that this is a reference PCB. The new SLI fingers might be an implementation of NVLink for gaming cards.

And now, let's go to the confusing part:

NVIDIA board partner registers (Ampere?) GA104-400 GPU at EEC
https://videocardz.com/76967/nvidia-board-partner-registers-ampere-ga104-400-gpu-at-eec
On July 20th, Manli Technology Group has notified EEC certification office about upcoming products. In a wall of text, we discovered GA104 graphics processor, a GPU that was neither released nor confirmed by NVIDIA.
Not only that, the exact GPU model is listed, which is GA104-400. This is without a doubt the processor for next-gen NVIDIA graphics card (possibly GeForce GTX 2080).
This entry does not prove that new architecture is called Ampere, in fact it does not prove anything at all. However, this is the only evidence that upcoming series *might* be called Ampere (or at least something that starts with ‘A’).
For now, this is all we have got. It does not get any better than this until we see the first photos of the actual GPU.

Manli teases GeForce GTX 2080 and GeForce GTX 2070

Manli also registered two GeForce 20 series codenames at EEC. If this leak was to be considered plausible and it should, the new cards should be called GeForce GTX 2080 and GeForce GTX 2070 respectively. Something that we have been preaching for months.
Just an hour ago, we told that Manli registered GA104-400 GPU at EEC. This would indicate that new series are called GeForce 20 and the architecture is called Ampere.

Please excuse my bad English.
