I don't have anyhting against those that upgrade every year, but unless the actual hardware is limiting your gaming experience, I really don't see the need to upgrade.

There has never been a moment where my gaming hardware was not limiting my experience and I doubt that moment will come anytime soon. How many years do you think until we have high end cards that can do 4k144fps with HDR, RT, AA and everything else cranked up? Quite a couple, I reckon.
