Just played the Cursed Sails event for around 7 hours and it was a blast! Three crews fighting and communicating together to beat these skeleton ships and then split the loot and celebrate together. Sea of Thieves is simply an unique gaming experience, there isn't another game like it. Instead of reading reviews people should find a friend or a group to play with and give it a shot. You're missing out if you don't.
Currently 49/45/40 and going for that Pirate Legend title :D
edit. oh and on topic, that's a great number of players and the game is a success without a doubt :) It'll just keep growing.
