Just a heads up if you run into the cat enemies who are holding sacks they are the game's equivalent to metal slimes in Dragon Quest where they give you a tonne of exp and jp but are hard to hit and often flee. It's often best to focus on them in a battle, the one I fought was weak to daggers.
