That's just it America isn't a democracy. We are a democratic republic. Our ancestors knew that giving people direct democracy wasn't trust worthy because people don't know enough. As you've demonstrated by not knowing one of the simplest things about this country. Now imagine millions and millions of people as uneducated as your are about ourgovernment directly voting on things? We'd quickly lose everything we've gained in this country. I don't say this just to single you out either I myself have a lot to learn when it comes to this as well which is why I'm thankful we don't have a straight democracy.

I can:

What are you trying to accomplish with this post? It doesn't seem in any way constructive.

I think the initial poster you are alluding to is a tad over the top when it comes to his Trump comments but just outright insulting him doesn't benefit anyone... Apart from maybe making you feel superior..?

This is especially rich coming from someone who has already suggested that another user be banned for generalising earlier in this very thread.

EDIT:

Also, if you want to look at education levels in the context of the election, then Trump doesn't fare too well...

"Trump voters have low education levels."

"In the 2016 election, a wide gap in presidential preferences emerged between those with and without a college degree. College graduates backed Clinton by a 9-point margin (52%-43%), while those without a college degree backed Trump 52%-44%. This is by far the widest gap in support among college graduates and non-college graduates in exit polls dating back to 1980."
