https://www.pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-next-patched-to-fix-corrupted-save-issues/
No Man's Sky has enjoyed a wave of positive Steam reviews following this week's NEXT update. But a number of PC players have had issues with game-breaking bugs tied to what appears to be corrupted save files. Patch 1.51 was released today to address the corrupted save issue. There are also fixes for bugs that were causing crashes plus some other small tweaks and improvements, including the ability construct Frigate Terminals in Creative Mode, which was absent.
See new exotics from Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion, including rocket-reflecting trousers

With Destiny 2: Forsaken (and Cayde-6's demise) drawing closer day by day, Bungie has released a video showcasing some of the new exotic gear coming in the expansion. There's something in here for everything: Some of it looks pretty cool, some of it will probably be wildly overpowered, and at least one piece of kit looks kind of silly, but also kind of amazing.
Monster Hunter: World has an unlocked framerate on PC
https://www.pcgamer.com/monster-hunter-world-has-an-unlocked-framerate-on-pc/
60 fps support is great, but unlocked framerates that can take advantage of high refresh displays are even better. When we first got a look at the PC version of Monster Hunter World, there was a lot of talk about 4K, 60 fps performance, but we're happy to confirm that World offers an uncapped framerate option on PC. Specifically, there are three framerate options: a 30 fps cap, a 60 fps cap, and "no limit."
Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones is an old-school RPG set in Lovecraft's horrific realm
https://www.pcgamer.com/stygian-reign-of-the-old-ones-is-an-old-school-rpg-set-in-lovecrafts-horrific-realm/
We talked earlier this month about how it would be nice if game makers would give Lovecraft a rest and explore some different horror settings instead. (In case I haven't mentioned it previously, I would pay real money for a good game based on Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.) Maybe it'll happen someday, but not today: Today we have word of a new game in development called Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, "a role-playing game of horror, loss, and madness set in the strange worlds of HP Lovecraft."
Isle of Skye brings kilts, tile laying to Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/isle-of-skye-brings-kilts-tile-laying-to-steam/
A digital version of Isle of Skye, the tile-laying strategic board game, is now available on Steam. Released in cardboard back in 2015, Alexander Pfister and Andreas Pelikan’s Isle of Skye was quite well received, netting a load of awards nominations and taking Best Boardgame at the 2016 UK Games Expo. It also snagged one of board gaming’s most coveted awards—the prestigious German Kennerspiel des Jahres 2016, the game of the year for “connoisseur or enthusiast” games. (That is to say, a “real gamer’s game.”) The digital translation was developed by DIGIDICED and published by Asmodee Digital.

https://www.pcgamer.com/pubg-cant-provide-people-with-free-servers-says-brendan-greene-on-custom-server-paywall/
PUBG custom matches "won't have an associated cost" during beta but may charge in future, so said the battle royale's developer earlier this month. Brendan Greene, aka PlayerUnknown himself, has now explained PUBG Corp "can’t provide people with free servers" as doing so is not financially viable.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-marvel-ultimate-alliance-games-are-the-latest-to-vanish-from-steam/
Along with previous Activision licensed efforts like every Transformers game and Deadpool, the two Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games have been delisted from Steam. This was spotted by user Nerdkiller of Resetera (via Rock Paper Shotgun), and comes two years after they found their way onto Valve's platform.
Battlefield 5's Grand Operations mode will come 'shortly after launch'
https://www.pcgamer.com/battlefield-5s-grand-operations-mode-will-come-shortly-after-launch/
Today, EA posted a refresher on Battlefield 5's multiplayer modes, beginning with its replacement for BF1's multi-match Operations mode. Grand Operations will see teams battle over multiple in-game 'days' through different modes including Airborne (one team jumps out of planes) and the respawnless Final Stand. But not right away. According to the post, Grand Operations is coming 'shortly after launch.'
