I'm just trying to imagine what the right would have said about Obama had he banned a Fox News reporter.

If you have to "imagine" that then that just shows you didn't really keep tabs on him.

All other news outlets had to stand in solidarity with FOX when Obama tried something similar in his first term.

Too bad Fox didn't return the favor this time huh?  On one hand it seems like the networks should once again be banning together but my instinct tells me that the since the Trump team leaked the knowledge of the tape right before it 'leaked' that the other outlets, including CNN are okay with this.  Trump benefits, CNN benefits by being given the tape, Fox gets to run their anti media reports.  The only one really being disadvantaged here is Cohen and the FBI. They loose a bartering tool.  Its all interesting to watch how this whole thing unfolds and also how lawyers maximize the limits of legality.
