To put it simpler, 10^560 simply is (10^10)^56. 10^10^10^56 is wrong anyway, 10^10^56 could be right or wrong depending on the convention used, ambiguity could entirely be avoided if normal text editors allowed multilevel apices and subscripts. We should ask that wysiwyg editors and word processors from now on were based on LaTeX. 
Or use professional desktop publishing tools, but I guess LaTeX and LaTeX-based tools are the cheapest way to get that power.
