So I'm sorry but I absolutely will cheer against England, who for 800 years on and off the football pitch have been our rivals. Croatian, Belgium and France who I've seen them all play Ireland at euro 2016 or 2012 and experienced there fans at this wc in Russia  they've always treated Ireland with the utmost respect unlike England so I will absolutely cheer for them.

Well done Croatia, come on Belgium and good luck to the French in the final even though I still want Croatia to win.

Do you know Croatian fans are some of the most racist, bigoted xenophobic louts out there?! However, that's a minority, I don't want them to suffer as a nation or people.

England louts showered people in beer, just juvenile sad behaviour. Not quite as bad as showering people in broken nails and glass in terror attacks. Again though, that's a minority of Irish.

To put England and the English on a pedestal for ills of the past is utterly ignorant. Imagine if they complained about the Moors, capturing and enslaving coastal English people, taking the men as slaves and burning the women and children alive. I guess nobody hears about that as it doesn't fit the agenda.

I hope England and Belgium put on a good show today, and may the best team win and come 3rd. Same for the final, although that could well be an anti-climax.
