I'd honestly want him saved for REmake 3. Also, during Resi 2, he didn't show up, it wasn't until the events of 3 that he did, and only then did he show up some time after Leon & Claire had left the RPD station. If they tossed in Nemesis Easter eggs, it would really just mess with the timeline of events. We've already seen a drastic change in the camera angle, combat and object placement, as well as puzzles, we don't need the timeline being warped further for a few "ooh's" and "ahhh's".
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
