Promotion/relegation is a good thing though. It means even fans of smaller clubs can hope to see their team one day playing at the top level, that's why you stick with them. They could go on to bigger and better things, or if they go down you stick with them in the hope they come back up. Plus if they go down a division then they'll be one of the favourites to win the new league they're in, so that's another reason to stick with them.

But if your favourite team moves out of the top level, and you want to continue watching your team, you'll have to watch non-top level football, and I prefer watching top-level sports. So, the only solution would be to pick a powerhouse, or to jump from team to team.

Doesn't matter what league they're in your favourite team is your favourite team for many a team represents not just their country's football but their local area, promotion and relegation is the reward and punishment for consistency/complacency and help to keep the game competitive.

Teams have different styles and philosophies the's more to it than just playing in the top leagues.
