Rare for me definitely takes the crown in terms of their company image and game releases. 

They went from obscurity to A-list blockbuster devs in the 90s after Donkey Kong Country to essentially nothing after Grabbed by the Ghoulies. And then they were a dev that tried in vain to capture their former glory in the late 00s (with games Conker and the Nuts n' Bolts). 

And then Kinect Sports happened and they went all out casual generic on everyone. 

Heck, their logo during this time period is just a lame Wii Fit-esque logo: 




They're trying something new with Sea of Thieves but they haven't completely shaken off the casual, mobile-type game developer they have in my head now.
