How on Earth can you call Two Towers a dreadful adaptation and still like RotK? If anything, the lack of an enslaved Shire, Saruman's death, and the entire zombie ghost army bullshit pissed me off more than anything that happened in the previous two films.
I thought Two Towers was as good as Fellowship, if not better. I thought the addition of the elven army was kind of lame but got over it.
