It's the best in the franchise. The story is engaging and you learn how Majima became the ... well the way he is. It also builds on the backstory of pretty much every yakuza character in the franchise, living or dead, which makes this a great game to start with in the franchise even if you didn't play any of the others. (it's the prequel). The combat system is the best in the franchise. The real estate business side quests for Kiryu and the Cabaret manager side quests for Majima are great and the rewards for completing them make it well worth it.

If you like the sub stories you'll get a kick out of the typical and quirky sub stories you are familiar with from earlier games.

The loading times and the flow of the game is seemless between main and non main missions.

If you are trophy collector, The platinum isn't terribly difficult just time consuming.

FYI Yakuza Kiwami is completely recycled from Yakuza 0. While I consider Yakuza 0 the best in the franchise, Yakuza Kiwami is one of my greatest purchase regrets this year. It's lazy and rehashed mechanics make it the rbastard child of 0. Don't get me started at how gritty, boring, and repetitive the Majima everywhere quests get. And the car chase mission on legend difficulty is so brokenly difficult. HOLY SHIT i hate yakuza Kiwami.
