It makes me happy to see GameStop in this position. They are such greedy pieces of shit. Recently they have started automatically adding the warranty to my game purchases, and I have to remember to ask them to remove the charge every time. Oh and get this:

I had gone to GameStop to buy Ys VIII a few months ago, and since it was their last copy, they went to the shelf to get the case, but someone had stolen it, or it had gone missing, or whatever. Regardless, they insisted that it was a "new" game and that I should be charged full price.

And I'll be damned if I buy something and don't get hounded about pre-ordering something else. I live in a populated area around Chicago, Illinois, and I can't remember the last time I've seen a game sell out. Pre-ordering makes no financial sense, and the only reason to ever pre-order is if you really want the game-breaking sword that makes you one-shot enemies during the opening hours of the game, or if you really want to have it pre-installed so you can play immediately at launch.

They are the Blockbuster of gaming.
