Ark: Extinction teaser shows drones, synthetic dinos, and massive tamable Titans

The third expansion for Ark: Survival Evolved, titled Extinction, is arriving on November 6. As hinted at the end of Ark's previous expansion, Aberration, this time players find themselves on planet Earth, though it's a nearly unrecognizable one filled with both dinosaurs and futuristic technology. In the teaser above released today, you can get a few glimpses of a city that appears both advanced and ancient, with towering monolithic structures overgrown by nature. You can also see some teleporting robotic dinos, a player-piloted drone, and at the end, the appearance of a massive creature called a Titan.

 

Rocket League's premium Rocket Pass cosmetic reward system will cost $10

The Rocket Pass will be split into free and premium modes, with the latter offering many more cosmetics at each tier. During a meeting at E3 last week, game director Scott Rudi revealed that this premium pass would cost $10.
No matter which Rocket Pass you use you'll be able to level it up to around tier 70, unlocking new cosmetics and occasionally decryptors at each tier. Premium owners will get a whole lot more, though, including new car bodies and loot box keys (which are better than decryptors as you can trade what you open). Once you reach the max level, however, premium Rocket Pass owners are able to unlock endless 'pro tiers' and continue earning randomized Painted and Certified variants of those same cosmetics, which will be a nice carrot on a stick for those hardcore players—especially because you won't get duplicates until after you've completed the full set. It's a nice alternative to loot boxes, which a lot of people have been too fond of for a while now for obvious reasons.

 

GTA Online gets 7 new Italian Job-style races with double money and experience

GTA Online's latest weekly update adds seven new Issi-sporting, Italian Job-style races. In no particular order, the Repeater, The Issi Job, the Goal, the Sidewinder, the Turbine Trouble the City Jumper, and the Paleto Palace races all offer double RP and GTA$ and are described by Rockstar as such

Countdown shows up in Fortnite, Inca prophecy suspected

But the short of it is this: a countdown timer possibly (very likely) attached to the launch of a huge missile on Fortnite's map has showed up on some televisions and in the evil lair where the missile is housed.

We learned a lot about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3. CD Projekt Red brought an impressive demo, showing off Cyberpunk's first-person shooting, dialogue, and sprawling, vibrant setting, Night City. The studio also brought some informative little pamphlets for attendees, and we snatched one up. It's short and small, but packed with interesting details about Night City. We've picked out some highlights, and you can view the whole pamphlet down below.

 

Astroneer 1.0 will increase co-op beyond four players and add player customization

Astroneer, the open world survival and exploration sandbox from System Era, is now in its second year in Early Access and aiming for a 1.0 release at the end of 2018. Its trailer at E3 announced the December release for 1.0, and if you watch closely you can pick up some hints for a few things it plans to deliver. Astroneer currently supports up to 4-player co-op, but a scene near the end of the trailer shows more than four astronauts running around together.

 

CS:GO's new Panorama UI is now live in beta

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive got a major visual update today in the form of the new Panorama UI. Valve described the overhauled interface as "the most substantial change to the look and feel of CS:GO since the game was released in 2012."

 

PUBG announces 'Event Pass' progression and reward system

Ahead of its Sanhok map launch this Friday, PUBG Corp has now also unveiled its 'Event Pass'—a "trackable progression-related system" that lets players unlock new content "in a way that is different from the crate and key system." It'll be rolled out alongside Sanhok on June 22.

 

PUBG compensates wrongly banned players with 20,000 BP

After a flurry of unwarranted bans, PlayerUnknown's Battleground developer PUBG Corp will grant those affected with a "small compensation" of 20,000 Battle Points (BP).
"As you know, one of our highest priorities is working towards eliminating hackers and cheaters from PUBG," explains the dev in this Steam Community update. "We’ve made great strides in this area recently, but unfortunately sometimes we get it wrong, which was the case recently when a number of players were improperly banned and were unable to access the game for a period of time."
