I am pretty sure they will improve some other things also.

Optimisation means you optimising game for hardware, tools, APIs...on platform that game is/will be released. You don't know if Fortnite is already great optimised for Switch, and with point it wasn't great optimised on any hardware on which was launch at start, is telling us that Switch version will also have further optimisation through the patches.

Doom and Fortnite are totally different things, Doom is finished and done game but even Doom had optimisation patch months after Switch relase. Also intresting you didn't mention Rocket League for instance (instead of Doom) that recive couple of improved and optimisation patches that brought us more stabile frame rate, better resolution and better visuals, Fortnite is much similar to Rocket League, game will be keep being supported with new content, patches and optimisation, especially for platform thats just launched on. Also talking about Doom, Doom is 1st year Switch game and 1st Panic Button Switch game, for instance it seems that Wolfenstein 2 will be better optimised than Doom was on Switch.

Point that curently Fortnite for Switch is OK port doesnt mean it want have futher improvements like we alredy saw with other platforms and games like Rocket League, actually all point that we will definitely have some optimization through patches later. Like I wrote, I expecting like improved frame rate, better resolution and better visuals with less pop-up.

I'm saying Fortnite is well optimized as a port for Switch. The biggest improvements the game needs appears to be a more stable 30 fps. You say its an OK port, but its one of the most impressive on the platform.

Rocket League and Doom did seem some improvements from patches, but lets not exaggerate their significance. I recall Rocket League improving but that game is less GPU intensive than Doom or Fortnite. I believe DF looked at some of the patch work for Doom and saw little improvement. As far Wolfenstein 2, it will likely be better optimized but lets wait for the final product.

I saying there definatly some room for furhher improvements and if we look how Fortnite is managing on other platforms, we can expect something similar on Switch also, game is just launched on Switch offcourse there will further optimisation.

Yeah Doom had some minor improvements but Rocket League is totaly difrent story, it recived couple of improved and optimisation patches that brought us more stabile frame rate, better resolution and better visuals, because its online game that will keep playing and getting new content and patches and we can expect same for Fortnite.
