That's their game plan score one and hold on for the whistle, what you saw today is how all their games this tournament are going to look, it's how all their games in tournaments in the recent decade have looked.

I don’t know about others, but we as Brazilians always expect our team to easily trump everyone. People here are only satisfied when the team scores lots of goals and win easily. It’s kinda like Real Madrid fans, they’re so spoiled they are only happy with great results. Based on that, you can figure how bad the 2014 fiasco was for Brazilians. But it was a well deserved one that helped changing many things. If we’re competitive now, it was thanks to that.

Even so the 2014 fiasco may have been bad but ultimately they still made it to the semis, football has come a long way since the days of the usual suspects dominating and scoring 5 or so goal many smaller teams know they can't compete on the talent front so instead focus on hard work, game knowledge and organisation with Iceland being a good example. The won't be a case of what we used to see from the 70s to the 00s as now teams can grind it out against bigger nations all of this began when Brazil's Super Team from the 80s lost to Paulo Rossi's Italy as it show that even when you're being outplayed and outmatch grinding out a result is still very much possible and it's only gone and lead to what we see in this year's tournament.

The result today honestly wasn't a bad one and the reason people's predictions are ending up so off is because we all haven't fully realise we're not in the old usual suspects era so people are not looking at the teams on paper they're looking at the reputations and predicting a result from that rather than who is actually playing.
