And here's 15 minutes of in-game footage, which includes Geralt in action, courtesy of the folks at VG24/7.

Id Software boss says original Rage was 'every shade of brown'
https://www.pcgamer.com/id-software-boss-says-original-rage-was-every-shade-of-brown/
Rage 2, unlike most end-of-the-world wasteland adventures, appears to be a very colorful game: Bright, neon pink was established as its "signature color" even before the game was officially revealed to the world. It's a little incongruous as these things go, but it's a style that Avalanche and id embraced in order to help the game stand out from its predecessor, as well as certain other post-apocalyptic games that are set to show up next year.

Bethesda says Fallout 76 'is not just a full-on PvP game'
https://www.pcgamer.com/bethesda-says-fallout-76-is-not-just-a-full-on-pvp-game/
Many Fallout fans have been worried about Fallout 76 since rumors first hinted at it being an online survival game, and Bethesda confirmed those rumors (and a lot more) at its E3 showcase. One of the most prominent concerns is how PvP will play into Fallout 76, or to put a finer point on it, how, and how easily, other players will be able to intrude on your experience (read: kill you six ways from Sunday). Bethesda's Pete Hines addressed PvP in a recent interview with Variety, assuring players that Fallout 76 is not PvP-focused.

Fallout 76 is based on plans for Fallout 4 multiplayer
https://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-76-is-based-on-plans-for-fallout-4-multiplayer/
Bethesda considered adding multiplayer to Fallout 4 but put the idea on hold to prioritize its singleplayer story, Bethesda Game Studios director Todd Howard explained in a new Noclip documentary. However, Bethesda eventually revisited Fallout 4's would-be multiplayer and turned it into Fallout 76, which we now know to be an online survival game.

Telltale is working on a Stranger Things game
https://www.pcgamer.com/telltale-is-working-on-a-stranger-things-game/
Telltale Games and Netflix have confirmed that Minecraft: Story Mode is coming to Netflix later this year. And more importantly (I think, anyway), a new game based on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things series is also in the works.

https://www.pcgamer.com/defiance-2050-launches-in-july-open-beta-begins-next-week/
Defiance 2050, a reimagined take on the 2013 shooter MMO Defiance that was revealed to the world earlier this year, will launch on July 10, Trion Worlds announced today. Before it does, an open beta will run from June 22-25, providing players with an opportunity to try out different character classes, weapons, and progression systems.

Nioh 2 was one of the genuine surprises of E3 2018 (...)
We now know a few things about the Souls-esque sequel, thanks to an interview during PlayStation's Live from E3 stream, reported by Polygon. Speaking during the stream, game director Fumihiko Yasuda assured fans that the sequel would not mark a dramatic change for the series, and it will still be a "masocore" game. In other words, it'll still be bloody hard.

PUBG's winter map will be somewhere between Miramar and Sanhok in size
https://www.pcgamer.com/pubgs-winter-map-will-be-somewhere-between-miramar-and-sanhok-in-size/
I spoke to PUBG's creative director Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene at E3 this week, and asked if the snowy footprints shown in the teaser would be a feature of the winter map. "We of course would like to have footprint tracking in the snow, you know," said Greene, "but I can't promise anything now. It's very early."

Fortnite adds new assault rifle and soccer stadium, re-enables shopping carts (Updated)
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-adds-thermal-scope-assault-rifle-and-soccer-stadium/
E3 2018 is in full swing, but Fortnite's weekly updates roll on. This week's offering, patch v4.4, brings with it the new Thermal Scope Assault Rifle, a football soccer stadium, a shifty-looking chap named The Cloaked Star, gradient-adaptable traps, and a couple of limited-time event modes.
Update: As detailed in our original story below, Fortnite introduced a new weapon, new soccer stadiums, a new Save the World character, and new trap features among a number of other things earlier this week. Epic has now bolstered Patch v4.4 with a modest v4.4.1 update.

Cyberpunk 2077 concept art illustrates the trailer's beginnings
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-concept-art-illustrates-the-trailers-beginnings/
I've watched Cyberpunk 2077's E3 trailer so many times that I've now lost count. Each time I do, I spot something I hadn't before—which is why I find the following concept artwork so interesting. The snapshots below combine to show how CD Projekt Red's ideas have evolved, and where the E3 trailer began.

Frontier elaborates on why Jurassic World Evolution doesn't have mod support
https://www.pcgamer.com/frontier-understands-demand-for-jurassic-world-evolution-mods-but-theres-a-balance/
Frontier's Jurassic World Evolution will not have mod support, as Frontier has previously explained. Which seems a shame, given the vast catalogue of player-made projects the developer's Planet Coaster boasts. In conversation with Phil at E3, David Braben compared JWE to both Planet Coaster and Elite Dangerous, and said that while there's scope for it to follow a similar path, he himself is wary of mod support as "it means that we can't easily update the game."
