You probably should also point out to him that the opposite does seem to occur, since that's what he asked.
If you played Fortnite on PS4 and then use that account on Switch, it will no longer work on PS4.

I don't see why Sony would block PS4 players from playing on PS4 again. Even though the common denominator seems to be PSN here, that one doesn't make sense to me.

You won't be able to use that account on Switch. Sony isn't 'blocking PS4 players from playing on PS4 again' because they won't let you 'leave' in the first place. Instead of one PS4/XB1/PC/Mobile ecosystem, Sony forced a split into PS4/PC/Mob and XB/PC/Mob. Switch could in theory have had it's own Switch/PC/Mob ecosystem but they joined the XB ecosystem. The option to join the Sony ecosystem was never on the table.

I can only see 3 possible solutions.

- Sony allows cross-platform leading to one ecosystem.

- Epic allows purchased content to be Switched from the PS4 ecosystem to the XB/Switch/PC/Mob ecosystem.

- PS4 gets put on their own (no PC/Mob cross plat) and items are cloned to the XB/Switch/PC/Mob ecosystem.

I'd love to know if Epic, MS and Nintendo knew this was coming. Nice E3 surprise for Sony.
