That will seriously depend on the price. Besides, by the time those drop, I imagine that the new consoles are already well into development. High-end Pascal-grade card equivalents are much more likely (which already blow current machines out of the water).

Out of curiosity: would it be a similar, smaller, or bigger gap than 7th to 8th gen? I know it's hard to speculate without the other specs, but you know what I mean. xD I think a proportionally similar gap would already be awesome.
