3 years is the ideal amount of time for a refresh for me, and this would be 3 years after XBO X. 7 years is more than long enough for the generation also, if they do indeed start a new generation rather than iterate.
I'd like to see each machine have a 6 year life of support, with a more powerful model released every 3 years.
