I think Nintendo should have shown some of their 2019 games. Even a few cinematics to hold people over and keep themselves in the mind of gamers. My worry is the negative impact that this E3 showing will have on Switch sales. I am still not convinced the Let's Go Pokemon (a controversial game) and Smash will be enough to maintain last year's sales levels, much less make it close to their 20 million goal (right now I honestly would not be surprised if we get sales of slightly above 10 million). What's more is that much of what I want seems to be in 2019, and I would hate for weak console sales to impact Nintendo's future software plans for Switch. I hope that the Smash + Pokemon and support from previous year's evergreen games and the current third-party games and the Wii U ports is enough to at least maintain sales at 2017 levels; in case that does not end up being the case, then I hope Nintendo has some aggressive bundles and price cuts planned going into the holidays.
