Why is people angry about this game being 1st person?

Because those people have hated 1st person shooters, first person RPG's, and likely first person anything.

I'm a bit bummed about it for sure. I would have liked for them to have both views in as options, but they didn't, and I'm not going to pass on the game simply because they chose one over the other.

There is a bigger issue with FPS games though, and that's customization. CDPR wants us to create our own characters, but why would that even begin to matter when the game is supposed to be SP only and entirely in 1st person?. You wouldn't see any facial or body customization of any sort. I don't get why devs allow customization for a characters body, when you're strictly playing in1 st person. It's why I hate how the Dying Light devs kept on selling and giving out skin DLC for your character. The only people that could ever see the skins you bought were those who either played the game with or against you.

Having the option like in Skyrim and other games alike allows us to view the changes we make to our character, but if Cyberpunk is going to allow us to customize our bodies visually, then what is the point if we cannot see those visual enhancements?.  This is still the biggest hurdle that FPS games have yet to solve.
