Why do another E3 conference for the first time in 3 years if you don't have enough new announces to back it up? It wasn't EA bad, but it was not good, that's for sure.

To be fair it wasn't a press conference, just like you can't call Nintendo's event one. 

It's just a way for them to release all of their e3 trailers.

And whatever big surprises they have will be shown later tonight at Sony's conference.

Also at least they did better then EA.
