Median individual income in the United States is $31,000.

So 50% of the country is making less money than that annually.

That should give you an idea of if you are "lower middle" or "upper middle".

So I wonder how that moves when you have spouse and kids. If kids have no bearing, then I'd be upper middle, then. Regardless, I am by no means anywhere close to rich, at least compared to those around me in America. Just can't get over the fact that i'm so "loaded" compared to the world.
