I’m gonna be truly honest, my heart sank when they announced they had bought Ninja Theory studio, ive always liked and supported the studio, they have always been the underdog studio that over achieved and has got massive potential.
Hellblade has been the standout game for me this gen, it took me and many others by suprise, a game developed by 20 people who had to get loans out to help fund the development. They created a character (Senua) who in my opinion is the most interesting unique gaming character for years and her journey was thought provoking, emotional and again completely unique. Sadly I won’t get to play any part two to her story because Microsoft buying them and turning them into a first party studio. I’m truly gutted.
I’m sure NT will develop something incredible now they have the resources of Microsoft backing them and if it’s a new Hellblade it’s foing to be something special.
