I could swear someone did this not so long ago. Do people really wish they would be in a golden era? When most games are either FPS or open world?
No, this is far from the golden era. That era was when the Saturn/PS1/N64 launched. There was a plethora of new experiences and genres with the advent of 3D (way more quantity aswell). That was the golden age of gaming. There were fresh experiences being born all the time. Nowadays we are in an old and tired market that refuses to innovate and diversify. I'm sorry if you missed it, but it is what it is.
